We were there when the first carbon-plate running shoes hit the market — when Nike changed what a performance shoe could be. Soon after, nearly every brand followed — some pushing the idea forward, many simply because they couldn't afford to fall behind. That's when it got harder to tell which shoes actually delivered — and which just looked good on paper.

There's a voice missing from the conversation — the runners actually wearing these shoes. We set out to make sure it gets heard — giving the best products the recognition they've earned.
